New Rule to Prevent Forfeits and Ensure Fair Play
Dear Team Managers and Captains,
We wanted to take a moment to address an issue that arose during recent Saturday matches. One of the teams was forced to forfeit, and while the opponent was awarded points, concerns were raised because the forfeiting team was a visiting team that had invested time and expenses in travel. This situation is something we aim to avoid moving forward, as it impacts not only the teams involved but the league’s overall fairness and organization.
To prevent similar situations in the future, we have adopted the following rules for all teams in the Global League of Champions:
Rule: Player Availability and Team Size Management
- Minimum Players Requirement: Teams must have at least 7 players on the field to start a match. If fewer than 7 players are present, the match will be forfeited.
