Description: Global League of Champions Soccer COED Tournament 2025 is an adult esteemed soccer event, organized by Global League of Champions, playing in Tucson, Arizona.

COED Tournament Rules

  1. Team Composition
    • Roster Size: Teams can register up to 22 players, but only 14 players may be dressed for each match.
    • Gender Requirement: Teams must have at least 2 female players on the field at all times. If a team cannot meet this requirement, they must play short-handed.
    • Age Requirement: Players must be at least 16 years old to participate.
    • Waivers: All players must sign a liability waiver before participating. Waivers must be completed during team registration or at the check-in process.
  2. Match Format
    • Duration: Matches are 2 halves of 35 minutes each, with a 5-minute halftime.
    • Overtime (Playoff/Final Only):
    • Two 5-minute halves with no golden goal.
    • If tied after overtime, proceed to penalty kicks (best of 5).
    • Substitutions: Unlimited substitutions are allowed at stoppages with referee approval.
  3. Gameplay Rules
    • Kickoff: Ball can be played in any direction at kickoff.
    • Slide Tackles: Slide tackling is not allowed. Violations result in an indirect free kick.
    • Headers: Allowed, but players must prioritize safety.
    • Coed Goals:
    • Goals scored by female players are worth 2 points.
    • Goals scored by male players are worth 1 point.
    • Penalty kick goals are worth 1 point, regardless of gender.
  4. Fouls and Misconduct
    • Yellow Card: A player receiving a yellow card must leave the field for 2 minutes (team plays short-handed).
    • Red Card: A player receiving a red card is ejected and cannot return. The team plays down a player for the remainder of the match.
    • Accumulated Red Cards: Two red cards in the tournament result in suspension from the event.
  5. Game Day Procedures
    • Check-In: All players must check in 30 minutes before kickoff. IDs must match the team roster, and all waivers must be completed.
    • Forfeits: Teams failing to meet the minimum player requirement (7 players) within 10 minutes of the scheduled kickoff will forfeit the match.
    • Protests: Protests must be submitted in writing within 15 minutes after the match. Referee decisions are final during the game.
  6. Standings and Advancement
    • Points System:
    • Win: 3 points
    • Draw: 1 point
    • Loss: 0 points
    • Tiebreakers:
    1. Goal Difference
    2. Goals Scored
    3. Head-to-Head
    4. Coin Toss
  7. Equipment
    • Jerseys: Teams must wear matching jerseys with visible numbers. Goalkeepers must wear a different color.
    • Footwear: Cleats or turf shoes are required. Metal studs are prohibited.
    • Ball: Size 5 game balls will be provided by the tournament.
  8. Weather Policy
    • Matches may be delayed, shortened, or rescheduled due to inclement weather. Tournament organizers will make the final decision.
  9. Awards and Prizes
    • Division A:
    • 1st Place: $1,000 & Trophies
    • 2nd Place: $750 & Trophies
    • Division B:
    • 1st Place: $750 & Trophies
    • 2nd Place: $500 & Trophies
    • Individual Awards:
    • Best Player
    • Top Goal Scorer
    • Best Goalie
    • Best Referee
